CURACAO COLOR BLOCK- The Art Of Curacao, Travel Guide

Sometimes the best memories aren’t the ones we necessarily plan for. With the right setting and the right friends, any experience can become an unforgettable moment in time. And your girl Diva recently got to spend some quality time with her girls on the beautiful island of Curacao for a spontaneous trip that turned out absolutely amazing!

Considering the decision to go was so last minute, she had no idea what to expect but was excited nonetheless. And it just so happened that Curacao Carnival was taking place at the same time, enhancing an already unpredictable situation. With her knowledge of the island’s colorful and creative nature, Diva packed up her bags just right and headed off on an adventure – her and her friends staying in private villas for the duration of their stay.

While in Curacao, Diva got in her explorer bag and visited several of the wonderful attractions the island had to offer. Consisting of about 37 beaches in total, she had the pleasure to experience two: Kokomo Beach and Mambo Beach. Diva absolutely adored the peaceful and intimate vibe of Kokomo, spending much of her time there – even getting the chance to see the famous swing in person. And Mambo would provide an excellent night-out opportunity for her and her girls with its beach club entertainment and aesthetically pleasing nature. There’s no wonder it’s one of the most popular beaches on the island!

Speaking of nights out, Diva would be remiss to not mention The Moitto Lounge, where she and her friends spent their first outing and would immediately cement itself as a personal favorite. The space presented a safe and friendly environment for her to unwind, and fit so seamlessly with the rest of the peaceful island experience.

Continuing her exploration, Diva paid a visit to the Queen Emma Bridge. Connecting the Punda and Otrobanda quarters of the capital city, Willemstad, she got to view this vibrant and beautiful landmark both during the day and during sunset. With the carnival taking place, she was also able to enjoy the parade by the bridge. Then, just nearby in the Punda district, awaited Handelskade – a collection of Colonial Dutch buildings painted in bright vibrant colors. As well as the Punda Love Heart, which allowed Diva and her girls the opportunity to create a special lifetime-lasting memory as they purchased and left a lock on the structure. Their initials are written and waiting for their eventual return in the future.

Other highlights of her trip included the Saint Tropez Boutique Hotel and Curacao Liqueur Distillery Tour. Being a creator, Diva was highly impressed with the beautiful waterfront aesthetic the hotel provided. With an amazing staff and several eye-catching attractions, including an outdoor pool and poolside bar, two lounges – and various drink options – the hotel was simply darling. As for the tour, though short, it was quite engaging; the girls enjoying the “deluxe package” which included complimentary drink tickets, a tour guide, and taste test to end.

Now, when it came down to the fashion, your girl Diva was ready to embody the colorful and vibrant atmosphere that the island provided. However, given how spontaneous and last minute this trip was, she wasn’t able to execute her look to her planned extent. But, worry not lovelies, she continued to slay nonetheless.
